Lucky to Have You Card by Vicki Robertson
HI! Vicki Robertson here today sharing a wee bit of St. Patrick's Day inspiration with you. With any luck at all, I'll be celebrating the day with the someone special in my life!
I have used a square base, which if you haven't read before, is my favorite! There is something about creating on a square space that makes me happy. It's like a mini scrapbook layout the takes on a life of it's own and doesn't have to go into an album!
I used cardstock matted with both a layer of patterned paper and more cardstock as the card base. Next, I die-cut the lace doily background for the bouquet from white cardstock using the Couture Creations Les Fleurs Die. It's inked in a rainbow pattern with distress inks. ( Note: I saved the negative piece cut from the center of the doily for use on the card later.) The bouquet base is next, and is cut from green glitter paper using the Couture Creations Roses Nesting Die.
The shamrocks and four leaf clovers are cut from cardstock, gold glitter and velvet specialty papers. I adhered them to the doily starting on the outer edge and working toward the center. The different colors and textures are placed alternately throughout and I added dimension to them as I built the bouquet higher. In the very center of the bouquet I added a smaller Couture Creations Roses Nesting Die die-cut and matted it with the negative piece of the doily that I saved. I tucked in gold vines around the outer edges of the doily and under the bow that were cut with the Couture Creations Jasmine Dream Die.
The computer generated sentiment is cut with a banner die and inked with gold along the edges. I tucked it under a stack of clovers and shamrocks on top of the roses die-cut. For a pop of color and to emphasize the sentiment, I made two shamrocks from red velvet. One is stacked under the gold shamrock and I cut the heart shape on top from the other. The final touch to the bouquet is a gold mesh bow that I made using my Craft-Dee BowZ Bow Making Tool.
I love the contrast between the gold, green and red that is so evident in this close up.
Thanks for stopping by to share my St. Patrick's Day inspiration!
~Vicki

Not Without my Mickey by Tracey Cooley
Hi Creators! Couture Creations Designer Tracey Cooley here today. I am loving the new Secret Treasures and Madeline collections of dies
and the Harmony embossing folders that have been recently released! Here
are a couple of ideas on how to use them.
My youngest daughter has just started Primary school and I remembered
that I had not created a layout for her first day of Kindy. I remember
this day very well as I tried my hardest not to get upset when I dropped
her off, but alas, I am a sook and blubbered all the way home. She was
so little! Her favorite toy at the time was Mickey Mouse. She was
so excited to go to Kindy, but NOT WITHOUT HER MICKEY!
Tip: A great way to add a mat to your lace die-cut is to trace around the edge of the die itself and then cut out the shape with Precision Scissors.
Cut a lace die in an alternate color. Note: I used the Les Fleurs Ornamental Lace Die.
The Circle Nesting Dies
are just perfect for making a silhouette of Mickey Mouse! Simply cut
one large circle and 2 small circles and voila! Add a bow to one ear to turn Mickey into
Minnie.

Flowers: Cut 3 large Retro Flowers and 4 medium Retro Flowers. Ink the edges of the petals if desired. Spritz with water and press center into a mouse pad or molding pad. Note: I used a Sharpie for the large flower and a paintbrush handle for the small flower.

Once dry, pinch each petal to give a 3D effect. Next adhere layers alternately to form entire blossom.
Leave the larger petals off to make smaller blossom. To make the flowers a little more special, spray with spray adhesive and sprinkle
with glitter. If desired, add a Gemstone to finish off the flower center.
I seem to use a certain size of my Self-Adhesive Gemstones
more than the others, so I have found a great way to use leftover gemstones to make flourishes. Simply draw a flourish,
freehand or with a stencil, and add gems. Try mixing several colors of gemstones.
Keep on Creating!

Live Your Life Out Loud Card by Adriana Bolzon
Hello there everyone! Couture Creations Designer Adriana Bolzon here today sharing a card I created with two of the latest dies from the Madeline and Secret Treasures Collections.
The gorgeous doily in the background is created with the Les Fleurs Doily Die. I inked the edges with brown ink and a Sponge Dauber.
The floral cluster was created with the Aurora Vine Die (leaves) and the Retro Flowers Die (pink blooms). I cut several flowers using the Retro Flowers Die, curled the edges of the petals over with a very thin stick, glued them together and placed a Cafe Creme Self-Adhesive Pearl in the center of each flower.
Thanks for stopping by today!

Vintage Shabby Chic Card by Cathi O'Neill
Hi! Couture Creations Designer Cathi O'Neill here today!
I'm sharing a card that I created with some gorgeous glimmer cardstock and some NEW embossing folders and dies released by Couture Creations.
To start my card I used a base of green glimmer cardstock and embossed it with the beautiful Asian Wave Embossing Folder.
Next, I layered on top of my card a piece of cardstock cut with the beautiful Madeline Les Fleurs Die. To the center of the die-cut I added a beautiful vintage image of a woman.
I add some yummy keys from the Madeline Keys to My Heart Die.
I antiqued my card by adding gesso. It
highlighted the raised edges of the embossed pattern, and when I coated
the edges and random spots on the doily and key die-cuts, it added a
really antiqued peeling whitewash paint effect to card. I just love how
effective it looks!
To finish the card I added a vintage seam binding double bow on the keys and some Moonlight Self Adhesive Pearls on the doily. Simply done, but a very textured and elegant effect.
Thanks so much for visiting today!
