Exotic Card with Pam Bray

Hi! Pam Bray here today sharing a card that I created with the Exotic Embossing Folder (Fine Designs Collection) and the Connexion Intricutz Die (Sophia Collection) to make the perfect exotic card.

I started by embossing white cardstock with the Exotic Embossing Folder. Using Wild Honey Distress Ink and a Sponge Dauber I lightly brushed over the raised design to help match the color of the sunflowers on my patterned paper.

Here is closer look at the dimension of my exotic card. I love all the layers and the way the embossing folder comes to life when paired with patterned papers and leaves cut with the Connexion Die. I hope you try using some different inks with your embossing folders to see the amazing looks you will achieve!

Hugs, Pammejo

Autumn Card with Pam Bray

Hi! Pam here today sharing my Autumn Card created with the Exotic Embossing Folder from the Couture Creations Fine Designs Collection. I love all the beautiful swirls that show up once I used my Sanding Block to expose the core center of my paper.

I placed the burnt orange embossed paper onto a brunt orange and brown cardstock base and then layered my sentiment on top with some Foam Mounting Tape. I finished my card by adding a fun sheer bow and bird chippie around the sentiment.

Hugs,
Pammejo

Felt Flower Card by Dana Tatar

Hi! Dana here today sharing a fall themed card. I recently bought some felt and have been having a lot of fun creating felt flowers! This felt flower comes together fast with the help of the Daisy Nesting Dies and some hot glue, but let's start by assembling the card.

Step One: Emboss a piece of patterned paper with the Exotic Embossing Folder from the Couture Creations Fine Designs Collection. Lightly ink over the embossed pattern to highlight the design and adhere the paper to a cardstock card base.

Step Two: Cut a piece of orange cardstock with the Fleur-De Frame Nesting Die. Place the die over the cut piece of cardstock and, using a Sponge Dauber and the die as a mask, add ink to the open spaces of the die. Adhere the cardstock frame to the center of the card with Double-Sided Tape. Add two feathers to the top of the Fleur-De Frame.

Step Three: Cut a piece of double-sided patterned paper with the Ivy Doily Die Set and adhere the doilies, one of each pattern, to a strip of kraft paper and then to the card over the center of the Fleur-De Frame.

Step Four: Stamp a sentiment onto a piece of blue patterned paper and add three Vintage Gold Self Adhesive Gemstones. Adhere the sentiment strip to the center of the larger Ivy Doily with Double-Sided Tape.

Step Five: Emboss a piece of green cardstock with the Turkish Delight Embossing Folder (Fine Designs Collection). Using Sharp Point Scissors, cut two leaves from the embossed cardstock and adhere them to the card in the center of the two Ivy Doilies with Foam Mounting Tape.

Step Six: Assemble the felt flower and adhere it to the card with Foam Mounting Tape.

Felt Flower Tutorial

Step One: Cut five of the second smallest daisy shape and two of the smallest daisy shape from felt with the Daisy Nesting Dies.

Step Two: Fold one of the larger daisy shapes in half and secure with a dot of hot glue. Repeat for 3 more daisy shapes. The leftover larger daisy shape will be the used for the base of the flower.

Step Three: Fold each of the four flower shapes from Step Two in half again and secure with a dot of hot glue. These four pieces are the larger petals of the flower.

Step Four: Glue the four larger petals to the flower base.

Step Five: Fold and glue the two smaller daisy shapes the same way as the larger daisy shapes. Glue the two smaller petals to the top of the flower.

I adapted this flower design from a felt flower tutorial that I found here.

Layered Medallion Celebration Card with Patti

Hi! Patti here today sharing a celebration card that features a layered medallion. I wanted to create a dimensional card with some of the folders, and I wanted a blinged up look, so I used several Couture Creations embossing folders and then highlighted the raised areas with Glitzin' Glamour Glitter Glue! I used lots of Foam Mounting Tape too!
Here's my card!

I used some Core'dinations Glitter Cardstock and made a little medallion and placed a stamped title on it. I placed it on a ribbon pleated strip of Core'dinations Pastel Cardstock that I inked green. I placed a circle underneath the pleated cardstock that I embossed with the Couture Creations Exotic Embossing Folder and highlighted with Crystalina Glitzin' Glamour.

Here you see some close-up detail!

Here you can see the folded cardstock under the medallion.

The background of the card is a piece of cardstock that I also embossed with the Exotic Embossing Folder and highlighted with more Glitzin' Glamour in Lilac! This was lots of fun to do and it looks really festive too!

Bliss Window Card with Patti

Hi! Patti here today sharing a simple, but elegant, card that I created using lots of Couture Creations goodies! Its a "window" card and looks harder to create than it is. I used the Couture Creations Oval Nesting Dies to cut a window into the front of the card. I lined up the sentiment on the inside of the card to show through the window.

I used Blue Iceberg Self Adhesive Gemstones to outline part of the oval window. I added a cluster of blooms in the corner.

I embossed a piece of WordWin Papers Petallic Cardstock with the Exotic Embossing Folder. It has a beautiful shimmery finish that looks awesome embossed! The little butterfly and leaves are cut from sections of paper that I embossed with the Fine Designs I Dream Embossing Folder and the Elegance Loren Embossing Folder.

I doodled around the window and front edge of the card with a pen.

I used Foam Mounting Tape to add height to the main section of the front of the card.
