Folded Christmas Tree Card by Bridget Louw

Hi! Couture Creations Designer Bridget Louw here today. I am so excited to show you this super easy Christmas card to make using an assortment of gorgeous Couture Creations products.

The card measurements are:

Cream Cardstock Embossed Panel:  6 ½ inches x 4 7/8 inches

Red Patterned Paper: 6 3/4 inches x 5 inches

Card Base: 10 ¼ inches x 6 7/8 inches, scored at 5 1/8 inches

Using the Joyful Wishes Embossing Folder, emboss the cream cardstock panel. Attach it to the red piece of patterned paper using Double-Sided Tape.

To make the Christmas Tree, using the Square Nesting Dies. Cut 4 squares, with the 4 largest square dies, using green patterned paper of your choice.

Fold the paper as per the diagram below. When you have folded all four squares push the point into the bottom of the pieces in ascending order. Cut a small piece of paper to simulate the tree trunk.

Stick your tree and trunk down onto the embossed layer.

Cut out a stamped sentiment with the small die from the Fleur de Frame Die Set and attach it on the card using Foam Mounting Tape.

Tie a piece of ribbon into a bow and adhere it to the top of the tree.

Felt Flower Card by Dana Tatar

Hi! Dana here today sharing a fall themed card. I recently bought some felt and have been having a lot of fun creating felt flowers! This felt flower comes together fast with the help of the Daisy Nesting Dies and some hot glue, but let's start by assembling the card.

Step One: Emboss a piece of patterned paper with the Exotic Embossing Folder from the Couture Creations Fine Designs Collection. Lightly ink over the embossed pattern to highlight the design and adhere the paper to a cardstock card base.

Step Two: Cut a piece of orange cardstock with the Fleur-De Frame Nesting Die. Place the die over the cut piece of cardstock and, using a Sponge Dauber and the die as a mask, add ink to the open spaces of the die. Adhere the cardstock frame to the center of the card with Double-Sided Tape. Add two feathers to the top of the Fleur-De Frame.

Step Three: Cut a piece of double-sided patterned paper with the Ivy Doily Die Set and adhere the doilies, one of each pattern, to a strip of kraft paper and then to the card over the center of the Fleur-De Frame.

Step Four: Stamp a sentiment onto a piece of blue patterned paper and add three Vintage Gold Self Adhesive Gemstones. Adhere the sentiment strip to the center of the larger Ivy Doily with Double-Sided Tape.

Step Five: Emboss a piece of green cardstock with the Turkish Delight Embossing Folder (Fine Designs Collection). Using Sharp Point Scissors, cut two leaves from the embossed cardstock and adhere them to the card in the center of the two Ivy Doilies with Foam Mounting Tape.

Step Six: Assemble the felt flower and adhere it to the card with Foam Mounting Tape.

Felt Flower Tutorial

Step One: Cut five of the second smallest daisy shape and two of the smallest daisy shape from felt with the Daisy Nesting Dies.

Step Two: Fold one of the larger daisy shapes in half and secure with a dot of hot glue. Repeat for 3 more daisy shapes. The leftover larger daisy shape will be the used for the base of the flower.

Step Three: Fold each of the four flower shapes from Step Two in half again and secure with a dot of hot glue. These four pieces are the larger petals of the flower.

Step Four: Glue the four larger petals to the flower base.

Step Five: Fold and glue the two smaller daisy shapes the same way as the larger daisy shapes. Glue the two smaller petals to the top of the flower.

Hi! Dana here today sharing a fun layered card that I created with the Celebrate Embossing Folder from the Couture Creations Elegance Collection and the Couture Creations Fleur-De Frame Nesting Die. I'm trying to hold on to Summer for as long as I can with this bright and cheerful card. I'm hoping to squeeze in a couple more exciting journeys before the weather gets too cold.

The flourish pattern on the Celebrate Embossing Folder represents the wind and the Fleur-De Frame a fluffy cloud, a fun layered backdrop for the hot air balloon sticker.

Steampunk Layout with Dana Tatar

Hi! Dana Tatar here today sharing a steampunk inspired layout for CSW Distributors. I had a lot of fun creating this steampunk page using my favorite Couture Creations Embossing Folders and Dies and my metallic art mediums.

I used Perfect Pearls so highlight the embossed pattern on my cardstock. I added a coat of metallic embossing powder to the gears in random areas and to the Couture Creations Pearls, which were originally Cafe Creme in color.

The Couture Creations Fleur-De Frame was the perfect frame for my die-cut embellishment. I distressed the frame with the purple side of my Couture Creations Sanding Block. I love the deep scratches that I was able to add for an aged look!

I used the largest square from the Square Nesting Dies to trim my photo, which was originally part of a magazine advertisement. I loved the color palette and the handsome gent from this ad and saved the image for this project.

I embossed two pieces of Core'dinations cardstock with the Uber Embossing Folder. I lightly sanded the cardstock with my Couture Creations Sanding Block and then brushed on several metallic shades of Perfect Pearls.

I used the same process as above on a piece of cardstock that I embossed with the Large Vintage Girl Embossing Folder.

I used a Timeworks stencil to cut gears and a clock face from cardstock. I then used a foam wedge with watermark ink to randomly add metallic embossing powders to the pieces for a grungy finish. To add dimension to my page, I used Couture Creations Foam Mounting Tape to raise several of the gears from the page.

The elegant Fleur-De Frame Nesting Die, with the beautiful scroll patterns, was perfect for my vintage page. I used the purple side of my Couture Creations Sanding Block to add deep scratches to the frame for a fantastic scuffed look.

To change the finish of my Couture Creations Pearls from Creme to Copper, I simply pressed my VersaMark ink pad over the pearls, sprinkled on some copper embossing powder, and melted the powder with my heat gun.
