Together is My Favorite Place to Be by Pam Bray

Hi! Pam here today sharing a card I created for part of my January Project Life. I love how the Connexion Intricutz Die from the Sophia Collection wraps the Large Vintage Girl Embossing Folder perfectly.

I started my 6" x 8" card by first embossing a piece of Sage Green Kraft Distress Core'dinations Cardstock with the Large Vintage Girl Embossing Folder.

I sanded it lightly with a Sanding Block.

I embossed a piece of white cardstock with the Large Vintage Girl Embossing Folder and fussy cut out the center oval shape with my Precision Scissors. I used Wild Honey Distress Ink and a Sponge Dauber to color the edge of the white oval.

I ran the Connexion Die through my die cut machine three times so I would have plenty of leaves to wrap around the oval once I placed it on the front of my card.

 Here is a closer look at the Large Vintage Girl embossed design and the Connexion die-cuts.

I had to let you see all of my fun little flowers that I made using the Roses Nesting Dies. I have placed Vintage Gold Gemstones in the centers of each flower.

Hi! Patti here today with a sparkly card to share! Purple is my favorite color, so I decided to make a purple card! I used the Cheerful Embossing Folder from the Elegance Collection and the Ivy Decorative Die from the Secret Treasures Collection. 

 

Ink the top half of the Cheerful Embossing Folder with purple ink. Note: Make sure to ink the folder really well and to cover it completely.

Trim the excess white cardstock from the edges of the embossed piece.

Next, cover the cardstock with a light shimmery ink.

While the shimmery ink is still wet, apply Ultra Shimmer Embossing Powder and heat to set.

It's hard to see in the photo, but after embossing the cardstock has a really pretty shimmery look.

Use Double Sided Tape to secure the embossed piece to a card base cut from purple cardstock. The Couture Creations tape works wonderfully for heavy pieces like this that tend to "curl" at the edges. The Double Sided Tape keeps the cardstock right in place!

Cut two banners with the Craft Concepts Banners Nesting Dies; the largest banner from purple cardstock and the second largest banner from white cardstock. Outline each banner with a purple marker. Add a handwritten sentiment to the white banner. Adhere the white banner to the purple banner with Double Sided Tape.

For the finishing touches, add a purple flower, three ivy leaves cut with the Ivy Decorative Die and a white bow. Create a similar card with any of the Couture Creations embossing folders. The wide array of patterns are suitable for many occasions!

Heartfelt Banner by Sue Smyth

Hi! Couture Creations Designer Sue Smyth here with you today sharing a little piece of eye candy. I love making banners! This banner could be used for Valentine's Day or for an anniversary.

The large heart panels are die-cut from white cardstock with the Hearts Nesting Dies.

First, die-cut five large hearts from white cardstock using the largest Heart Nesting Die. Ink the edges with red ink. 

For the second layer of the banner, die-cut five hearts from red cardstock with the second largest Heart Nesting Die and then emboss those hearts with the Cheerful Embossing Folder. Rub over the embossed hearts with a pearl paint. Once dry, mount the painted hearts onto the white hearts with Foam Mounting Tape.

Use the Kaleidoscope Die to cut four hearts from pink glitter paper to create the third layer of the banner. Mount each Kaleidoscope heart onto white cardstock and attach to the red hearts with 

Foam Mounting Tape.

Embellish the middle heart with paper flowers. For a shabby finish, dab the flowers with gesso. Add a chip word.

Use the Aurora Vine Die to cut leaves from green cardstock to tuck around the flower cluster. Tip:

Trim the die-cut leaves to create small leaflets that are easier to work with. Add bits of gauze and a resin heart to the flower cluster.

Place eyelets into each side of the hearts. String the banner together with wide organza ribbon embellished with pearls.

Finish the banner by embellishing the Kaleidoscope hearts with Moonlight Self-Adhesive Pearls

and white fiber.

Valentine Candy Pillow Box with Pam Bray

Hi! Pam here today sharing how to create this sweet Candy Pillow Box. Start by making the box. I actually have a Pillow Punch Board from WRMK so it makes it easier to make, but I know there are other avenues for a similar pattern.

Cut two pillow boxes from two different pieces of patterned papers from the Pillow Box Punch Board. Fold one of the pillow boxes into shape, add Double Sided Tape to edge, and seal closed.

Fold one end of the pillow box closed. Place 3 mini candy bars inside the pillow box through the open end and fold closed.

Trim off the curved ends of the second pillow box to form a belly band. Place a small Scallop Circle Nesting Die in the center of the belly band and run it through a die-cutting machine. Note: This cut will create a small window in the band, allowing the patterned paper of the pillow box to show.

Place the belly band inside the Confetti Embossing Folder and run through a die-cutting machine.

Lightly sand the embossed belly band with a Sanding Block. Wrap the belly band around the pillow box and decorate.

Thank You Card Set with Pam Bray

Hi! Pam here today sharing with you a fun, sweet Thank You card that is super easy to create. I embossed a piece of grey cardstock with the Cheerful Embossing Folder (Elegance Collection) and adhered it to a card base with Double-Sided Tape. I added a piece of square pink cardstock that I embossed with the Crazy Daisy Embossing Folder (Fine Designs Collection). I love the look of using two different embossing folders together.

Next, I added a patterned doily, that I cut with the Ivy Set Doily Die (Fantasia Collection), and a small patterned rectangle that I cut with a Scallop Rectangle Nesting Die, to the front of the card. I love how the patterned die-cuts add a pop of color. To finish the card, I fussy cut a few flags from pattern paper using the Precision Scissors, stamped on a sentiment, and added them to the front of the card with some fun embellishments.

Why make one card when you can make a set?! You never have to many Thank You cards.

Hi! Patti here today sharing a layout. I used several Couture Creations dies and embossing folders! This is my youngest son's fiance, and we are so happy to have her join our family! She is beautiful inside and out!

   

I made some blue flowers with the Daisy Nesting Dies. I used one of the Sophia Dies for the leaves. I added a self-adhesive pearl for the flower center. I  layered a scrap piece of embossed paper under the photo.

 

I made two more types of flowers made with the Daisy Nesting Dies, some Self-Adhesive Gemstones and another Sophia Intricutz Die. I added Gemstones to some areas for a gold accent.

   

I embossed two Core'dinations tags with the Craisy Daisy Embossing Folder. I inked them lightly with white ink.

 

 

This page came together using scraps and just a few accents! I like to go through my scrap pile to see what combinations I can come up with!

Christmas Snow Globe Card by Sue Smyth

Hi! Couture Creations Designer Sue Smyth here today. Its that time of year again when we like to make small gifts and special cards for those friends and family who have everything. This is a project that I have done many times before and it always looks stunning. Using an Acetate sheet, blue cardstock and Couture Creations Embossing folders, you can create your very own magical snow globe.

This time I have used Couture Creations Embossing folders to create a snowy scene suitable for any snow globe.

I have used loads of glitter and white cardstock along with a reindeer punch.

Use the template below, print out on an A4 sheet. Cut out the semicircle from blue cardstock and emboss with the Celebrate Embossing Folder.

Brush gesso over the embossed cardstock and spray with Dragonfly and Mallard Glimmer Mists.

Cut out the base from blue cardstock and emboss with the Celebrate Embossing Folder as well. Apply gesso and mist as above. Allow to dry 

Attach both ends, spray with spray adhesive and sprinkle with lots of  white glitter.

Attach base 1 to base 2 with masking tape.

Use template for globe, and cut on the fold to form the folded globe top. Swipe with gesso and allow to dry.

Emboss a small circle with the Reindeer Games Embossing Folder, wipe with gesso and spritz with Glimmer Mists. Highlight the image with Crystalina Glitzin' Glamour and allow to dry.

Hand-cut trees and punch out a reindeer to create a snowy scene. Cut a rough circle of white cardstock, scrunch up, spray with adhesive and sprinkle with glitter. Allow to dry. Glue the trees and deer onto this circle and attach to the snow globe base. 

Decorate the front of the snow globe with paper snowflakes and Seaspray Self-Adhesive Gemstones. Cut out the embossed message of your choice, from a piece of white cardstock embossed with the A Magical Time Embossing Folder, and ink with blue ink, scrunch a bit and glue to front. Use a white paint pen to apply small flakes around the edge of globe. Add pearlized sequin stars around the edge of globe and white fibers around the base.
