French Country Card by Pam Bray

Hi! Pam Bray here today sharing my French Country Card. I love the country vintage feel of the papers and they work perfectly with the Fubu Embossing Folder.

I started by first running Red Kraft Distress Core'dinations Cardstock through my embossing folder and then sanding it lightly with a Sanding Block

I die-cut one Ivy Doily using the Ivy Die Set from a piece of the green patterned paper.

I placed part of the Ivy Doily on top of a piece of the black patterned paper that I adhered to the top of the red Fubu embossed cardstock using Double-Sided Tape.

I also added a few of the patterned die-cut pieces to the front of my card using Foam Mounting Tape. I hope you try adding die-cut layers to your projects.

Hugs, Pammejo

Be Mine Card with Pam Bray

Hi! Pam here today sharing a card I created for Valentine's Day. This card is really easy to make in a short amount of time with the help of Couture Creations embossing folders and dies!

Emboss a piece of Burgundy Kraft Distress Core'dinations cardstock with the Great Almanzo Embossing Folder. Lightly sand the embossed design with a Sanding Block and adhere to a cream colored card base. Add a chevron patterned paper to the bottom half of the card along with a border.

Cut two large Ivy Doilies from the Ivy Die Set. Cut one doily in half and place over the border. Add the second doily to the top of the card with Foam Mounting Tape. Add a beautiful bow, a couple of hearts, baubles, a sentiment and you have just created a lovely card! Simply change the sentiment on this card to adapt this design to fit any occasion.

I hope you have enjoyed my card and will try using your embossing folders and dies in new and fun ways.

Hugs, Pammejo

Thank You Card Set with Pam Bray

Hi! Pam here today sharing with you a fun, sweet Thank You card that is super easy to create. I embossed a piece of grey cardstock with the Cheerful Embossing Folder (Elegance Collection) and adhered it to a card base with Double-Sided Tape. I added a piece of square pink cardstock that I embossed with the Crazy Daisy Embossing Folder (Fine Designs Collection). I love the look of using two different embossing folders together.

Next, I added a patterned doily, that I cut with the Ivy Set Doily Die (Fantasia Collection), and a small patterned rectangle that I cut with a Scallop Rectangle Nesting Die, to the front of the card. I love how the patterned die-cuts add a pop of color. To finish the card, I fussy cut a few flags from pattern paper using the Precision Scissors, stamped on a sentiment, and added them to the front of the card with some fun embellishments.

Why make one card when you can make a set?! You never have to many Thank You cards.

Thanks for stopping by today!
Hugs, Pammejo

One In A Million by Tracey Cooley

Hi! Couture Creations designer Tracey Cooley here today sharing a layout for the All Occasions feature this week. My gorgeous daughter Tayla is definitely one in a million! She is loving, responsible, thoughtful and a hard worker. Not to mention beautiful (but I could be bias). I love this picture of her my brother took while holidaying in Kenya and hoped to do it justice with a layout that captures her spirit.

I have been looking for a realistic looking rose leaf for some time now and Couture Creations has the perfect leaf to go with roses. You can see on this layout the detail in the leaves and how real they look. All this thanks to the Couture Creations All Occasions Jazmyne Embossing Folder. This has quickly become my favorite embossing folder!

I simply embossed a  piece of Jet Black Core'dinations cardstock with the Jazmyne Embossing Folder and cut out those gorgeous leaves, molded them with my fingers and tucked them under my flowers.

Butterflies a pretty popular on patterned paper and I love to cut their little wings out, fold them up and place an alternate patterned paper underneath. On this layout I have added a bit of Crystalina Glitzin' Glamour Glitter Glue to the patterned paper underneath the butterfly wings. I also added it to the white Dazzling Doily die-cuts under the photograph. I hope you like this layout as much as I do.

Thanks for stopping by and keep on creating!

Felt Flower Card by Dana Tatar

Hi! Dana here today sharing a fall themed card. I recently bought some felt and have been having a lot of fun creating felt flowers! This felt flower comes together fast with the help of the Daisy Nesting Dies and some hot glue, but let's start by assembling the card.

Step One: Emboss a piece of patterned paper with the Exotic Embossing Folder from the Couture Creations Fine Designs Collection. Lightly ink over the embossed pattern to highlight the design and adhere the paper to a cardstock card base.

Step Two: Cut a piece of orange cardstock with the Fleur-De Frame Nesting Die. Place the die over the cut piece of cardstock and, using a Sponge Dauber and the die as a mask, add ink to the open spaces of the die. Adhere the cardstock frame to the center of the card with Double-Sided Tape. Add two feathers to the top of the Fleur-De Frame.

Step Three: Cut a piece of double-sided patterned paper with the Ivy Doily Die Set and adhere the doilies, one of each pattern, to a strip of kraft paper and then to the card over the center of the Fleur-De Frame.

Step Four: Stamp a sentiment onto a piece of blue patterned paper and add three Vintage Gold Self Adhesive Gemstones. Adhere the sentiment strip to the center of the larger Ivy Doily with Double-Sided Tape.

Step Five: Emboss a piece of green cardstock with the Turkish Delight Embossing Folder (Fine Designs Collection). Using Sharp Point Scissors, cut two leaves from the embossed cardstock and adhere them to the card in the center of the two Ivy Doilies with Foam Mounting Tape.

Step Six: Assemble the felt flower and adhere it to the card with Foam Mounting Tape.

Felt Flower Tutorial

Step One: Cut five of the second smallest daisy shape and two of the smallest daisy shape from felt with the Daisy Nesting Dies.

Step Two: Fold one of the larger daisy shapes in half and secure with a dot of hot glue. Repeat for 3 more daisy shapes. The leftover larger daisy shape will be the used for the base of the flower.

Step Three: Fold each of the four flower shapes from Step Two in half again and secure with a dot of hot glue. These four pieces are the larger petals of the flower.

Step Four: Glue the four larger petals to the flower base.

Step Five: Fold and glue the two smaller daisy shapes the same way as the larger daisy shapes. Glue the two smaller petals to the top of the flower.

I adapted this flower design from a felt flower tutorial that I found here.

Best Pals Card with Pam Bray

Hi! Pam here today sharing my Best Pals card that I created using the Couture Creations Crazy Daisy Embossing Folder and the Couture Creations Ivy Set Doily Dies. I just love the Crazy Daisy Embossing Folder! I ran the Crazy Daisy Embossing Folder through my die-cutting machine with some pink cardstock and used it for my card base.

I added a bunch of fun banner flags that I hand cut to the bottom of the striped patterned paper, along with some lace and a couple of Candie pieces. I added an Ivy Doily, that I topped with an image of a little girl and covered with an epoxy center, to the top of the card. Thanks for stopping by today!

Joy Notepad with Gloria

Hello everyone! Gloria here today. I have created a sweet little notepad cover for you. I love notepads. They come in all sizes and shapes and one can never have too many! Creating custom covers for them is fun and easy, and they make wonderful quickie gifts!

You can decorate your notepad cover as much or as little as you wish.

My notepad measures 8 x 2 1/2 inches. If you cannot find notepads this size, you can purchase standard 8 x 5 inch pads and cut them in half. My office supply store will cut a whole stack of pads for me for a few dollars. If the "right" clerk is on duty, he will cut them for free!

1. Cut tan cardstock to 8 1/8 x 5 1/4 inches. Score at 2 1/2 and 2 3/4 inches on the short side. This makes your basic notepad cover to fit a 8 x 2 1/2 inch notepad.

2. Trim printed paper to 3 x 2 1/2 inches. Score the long side at 1 and 1 1/4 inches. This will create a little "topper" to hide the ugly binding on your notepad.

3. Cover the notepad binding and then attach the notepad to the right side of the notepad cover.

3. Emboss green cardstock with the Endless Embossing Folder from the All Occasions Collection. I used Core'dinations Cardstock and sanded it to reveal the pale core of the paper.

4. Trim black cardstock to 8 x 2 3/8 inches and attach to the front of the notepad cover. Trim embossed cardsctock to 2 1/4 inches wide. Trim two pieces, joined where the embossing matches, to create a 7 7/8 inch long strip. Attach the embossed strip to the black cardstock with the seam near the top of the notepad cover.

6. Using the large Ivy Doily Die (Fantasia Collection), cut and emboss a doily from patterned paper. You may need to use the Piercing Tool to remove some of the tiny bits from the die cut shape. Attach to the top of the notepad cover with Foam Mounting Tape, making sure to overlap the seam.

7. Stamp sentiment onto tan cardstock with black dye ink and cut with a Circle Nesting Die.

8. Attach the sentiment to the center of the doily die-cut shape.

9. Add Self Adhesive Pearls to the four corners of the notepad cover and attach a postage stamp image sticker to the bottom center.

10. Using the Scallop Rectangle Nesting Dies, cut a scalloped rectangle from black cardstock.

11. Line the Rectangle Nesting Die template over the a section of embossed leaves cardstock and tape down. Cut the embossed paper and adhere the rectangle to the scalloped rectangle mat.

12. Trim black cardstock to 8 x 2 3/8 inches and attach to the inside left of the cover. Trim printed paper to 7 7/8 x 2 1/4 inches and attach to the black cardstock.

13. Attach the leaf image to the center of the panel at an angle. Add a postage stamp image sticker to the bottom right edge of the panel.

Hepburn Embosing Folder Week - Card Tutorials with Gloria and Dana

Welcome to the Hepburn Embossing Folder Feature Week! We're highlighting projects created with the gorgeous Couture Creations Hepburn Embossing Folder every day this week. Each member of the CSW Distributors Design Team has created a card using the Hepburn Embossing Folder and we can't wait to share our designs with you. To start the week off, we're sharing not one, but two, card tutorials! Enjoy!

Hello everyone! Gloria here with you today sharing a card tutorial. I have created a French country anniversary card with the Hepburn Embossing Folder and a few fun stamping techniques.

1. Create a 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 inch top-fold card from black cardstock.

2. Emboss kraft cardstock with the Large Hepburn Embossing Folder from the Elegance Collection.

3. Ink a script stamp with black dye ink and stamp onto the embossed paper. Press very lightly to ensure that you are only stamping on the raise part of the paper.

4. Continue stamping with the script stamp until you have covered all embossed areas. Trim the embossed cardstock to 5 3/8 x 4 1/8 inches and attach to the front of the card.

5. Trim black cardstock to 2 x 4 1/4 inches. Trim printed paper to 1 7/8 x 4 1/8 inches and attach to the black cardstock strip. (I have used Graphic 45 French Country papers.) Wrap brown twine around the center of the panel and attach the panel to the card front with Foam Mounting Tape, approximately 1 1/4 inches from the top of the card.

6. Using the small Ivy Doily Die (Fantasia Collection), cut and emboss two doilies from patterned paper. You may need to use the Piercing Tool to remove some of the tiny bits from the die-cut shape. Trim the doilies in half and tuck the three partial doilies under the panel from Step 5.

7. Using the Key To My Heart Die from the Endless Dreams Collection, cut two keys from cream cardstock. Rub one key with Burnt Copper pigment ink and the other with Verdigris. Allow to dry.

8. Using a script stamp and black dye ink, stamp both keys with the script image. Tie the keys to the right side of the card with twine.

9. Using the Scallop Rectangle Nesting Dies, cut a scalloped rectangle from black cardstock.

10. Line the Rectangle Nesting Die template over the printed sunflower image and tape down. Cut and adhere the image to the scalloped rectangle mat.

11. Using Foam Mounting Tape, attach the image to the left edge of the card, overlapping the twine.

12. Decorate the inside of the card with a strip of printed paper and a postage image stamp (Hampton Art/Graphic 45 French Country). Stamp an French anniversary greeting in the center of the panel with black dye ink.

Hi! Dana here today sharing how to make your own flocked cardstock with the Hepburn Embossing Folder from the Couture Creations Elegance Collection and flocking powder. The raised areas of  embossed cardstock provides a flat surface that is ideal for adding flock.

1. Emboss a piece of cardstock with the Couture Creations Hepburn Embossing Folder

2. Choose several colors of flocking powder. Use a glue pad, craft glue or a double-sided adhesive to apply the flocking powder to the cardstock.

3. Pour the flocking over the cardstock, pat down using a scrap piece of paper, and shake of the excess. Repeat for the remaining colors of flock.

4. Use a heat tool to set the flock for a more permanent finish. Trim the excess cardstock from the flocked design.

5.  Mount the flocked cardstock onto a card base and embellish to finish.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
