Last Minute Christmas Card by Patti Hamil

Hi! Patti here today. If you are like me, you always forget someone on your Christmas card list. Then you remember at the last minute and you may not have any cards left. Well if this happens I have a quick solution!

I grabbed my Christmas Lyrics and Jolly Christmas Embossing Folders from the Couture Creations Wrapped in Joy Collection. I used some specialty cardstock that is shiny and perfect for Christmas!

   

I embossed the Jolly Christmas on a gold piece of cardstock a little smaller than 5x7 inches and embossed the Christmas Lyrics on a red piece of cardstock a little smaller than 4x6 inches. I then trimmed the edges. I inked the red cardstock with a gold ink to bring out the sentiment.

 

To finish the card I used Foam Mounting Tape for the sentiment and added a sparkly gold button with some green wax thread. Not elaborate, but still very pretty and enough to let some one know that you "did not" forget about them!

Tri-Fold Christmas Card by Bridget Louw

Hi! Couture Creations designer Bridget Louw here and I am so excited to show you this super easy tri-fold card to make using an assortment of gorgeous Couture Creations products.

Step 1: Place a 6 inch  x 12 inch piece of cardstock horizontally in your scoring tool. Score at 2 inches, 4 inches, 8 inches and 10 inches. The card measures 4 inches x 6 inches when closed.

Step 2: Turn the cardstock a ¼ turn. Along the long edge, measure in 2 inches. Cut a slit with a craft knife between the score marks at 2 inches and 10 inches. Repeat on the other long side.

Step 3: Fold card as pictured.

Step 4: To decorate the card, cut pieces of patterned paper to cover your base pieces.

I used the Oval and Scalloped Oval Nesting Dies and embossed the plain oval with the Sugarplum Ball Embossing Folder from the Wrapped in Joy Collection.

Step Five: Embellish the card as desired.

These cards are lots of fun to make and take almost no time at all. I hope you like my card and will try making it with the amazing product range from Couture Creations.

Peace on Earth Card with Dana

Hi! Dana here today sharing a vintage Christmas card that I created using the Couture Creations Christmas Morning Embossing Folder. The beautiful embossed edge made an elegant frame for my card. I layered pieces of vintage newspaper and sheet music and a vintage postcard onto my embossed card base. I loved the image on the postcard and decided to play up the green and purple color palette for a non-traditional holiday card.

I topped my festive embellishment cluster with a stamped sentiment that I cut from a vintage book page. I just love the look of aged paper! I added some sparkle to the butterfly wings with Green Glitzin' Glamour Glitter Glue.

I finished my card with some decorative chipboard and a vintage inspired key.

O' Christmas Tree Card by Kerrie Gurney

Hi! Kerrie Gurney here today with a super quick, but different, card that is easy to mass produce for Christmas.

I have used the A2 Early One Morning Embossing Folder from the Wrapped In Joy Collection, Core'dinations ColorCore Cardstock, Couture Creations Self-Adhesive Pearls and some seam binding ribbon.

Cut a piece of Core'dinations cardstock to 8.5" x 4.5" and fold into a gate fold.

Emboss a piece of Core'dinations cardstock with the Early One Morning Embossing Folder.

Cut straight down the middle of the embossed image and sand with the Couture Creations Sanding Block to revel core color.

Sand the edges of the card base with the Couture Creations Sanding Block.

Place Double-Sided Tape across the middle of the card base.

Attach ribbon to both sides of the gate fold with enough length to tie the ribbon into a bow.

Add the embossed sections to the front of the gates, add some Moonlight Self-Adhesive Pearls and tie a bow to close. Tip: Add a pocket to the inside of the card and place a gift card inside.

Christmas Lyrics Card by Pam Bray

Hi! Pam here today sharing a card that I created with the Couture Creaitons Christmas Lyrics Embossing Folder, from the NEW Wrapped in Joy Collection, and the Sophia Eberjey Die.

I began by embossing a piece of burgundy cardstock with the Christmas Lyrics Embossing Folder.

 I then lightly sanded the embossed cardstock with the Couture Creations Sanding Block.

I placed a piece of dark teal Distress cardstock on top of a cream colored card base. I added Foam Mounting Tape to the back of the embossed Christmas Lyrics cardstock and affixed that to a piece of pattern paper.

I die-cut two fun Santa embellishments from pattern paper using the Couture Creations Circle Nesting Dies.

 I used the beautiful Eberjey Die to cut a pretty flourish embellishment from a piece of patterned paper.

I wrapped some teal twill ribbon around the card and loosely tied a bow. I adhered the Eberjey die-cut and attached one of the die-cut Santa embellishments on top of the teal ribbon with Couture Creations Double Sided Tape.

Add some Couture Creations Foam Mounting Tape to the back of the second Santa die-cut and place it on top of the first Santa die-cut to create a layered embellishment. Tie the teal ribbon into a bow that it is closer to the bottom of the Santa embellishment. Trim the ribbon with Precision Scissors.

I added Couture Creations Seaspray Self-Adhesive Gemstones to the top of the Eberjey die-cut and one at the bottom of the embossed Christmas Lyrics piece of cardstock. I hope you check out the Wrapped in Joy Collection!

Hi! Patti here today. If you're like me, you want to hand-make your Christmas cards, but probably don't have much time. I'm here to show you how you can quickly make simple, but elegant, looking cards in a couple of steps with just a few supplies! This card is so easy that I don't have step-by-step photos because there really are none!

Now, I'm going to tell you how easy it is. All you need is a sheet of ivory cardstock (or colored if you like). I used cardstock for a 5x7 card here. Next you need a sheet of specialty cardstock, the foil looking cardstock, any color, but I used gold. You also need one embossing folder, I used Poinsetta Lullaby from the Wrapped In Joy Collection. Then you just need a couple of blooms, a sentiment and a piece of ribbon!

The embossing shows beautifully on this shiny type paper, and especially for the Holidays! The look is really striking! Each folder in this collection will make a gorgeous card on its own! I hope you try this if you're short on time like I am!

Sophia Die Week - Joy Card with Dana

Hi! Dana here today sharing a Christmas card that I created using a gorgeous die and embossing folder offered by Couture Creations. I used the Super Plush Embossing Folder, from the All Occasions Collection, on the white cardstock base of my card. I painted over the embossed pattern with some gold mist to add a subtle shimmer to the background of my card.

I had some fun with the Pucci Die from the Sophia Intricutz Die Collection. After cutting a piece of black cardstock with the Pucci Die, I flipped over the die-cut to make a decorative letter "J" for the sentiment on my card.

Sophia Die Week - Intricutz Wreath Card by Dana

Hi! Dana here today sharing a Christmas card that I created using some of the gorgeous dies offered by Couture Creations. I used the NEW Wild Holly Embossing Folder, from the Wrapped In Joy Collection, on the patterned paper base of my card. I put together a layered wreath with cuts from my favorite Dazzling Doily Die and two dies from the Sophia Intricutz Die Collection.

Follow these steps to assemble this card:

Step One: Select two different colored pattered papers. Trim the papers to fit inside each other on a card base. Emboss the top pattered paper with the Wild Holly Embossing Folder. Adhere the patterned paper layers to the card base with Double-Sided Tape.

Step Two: Select three shades of green cardstock. Cut one piece of green cardstock with the Dazzling Doily Die. Cut three pieces of another shade of green cardstock with the Connexion Intricutz Die. Cut the last piece of green cardstock with the Assouline Intricutz Die. Attach the die-cut layers to the front of the card with Foam Mounting Tape with the Dazzling Doily die-cut on the bottom, the Connexion die-cuts in the middle and the Assouline die-cut on the top.

Step Three: Highlight the flower centers of the Assouline die-cut with Red Lust Self-Adhesive Gemstones.

Step Four: Add a sentiment to the center of the wreath.

Step Five: Finish the card by adding a gold bow to the bottom of the wreath.

Be Merry Card with Vicki

Hi! Vicki Robertson here with some holiday inspiration for you! Today I am sharing a card using the Couture Creation Sugarplum Ball Embossing Folder from the Wrapped in Joy Collection. This folder features swirls and flourishes with holly berries. 

The card base is Core'dinations white cardstock with a layer of embossed foil paper. The reindeer embellishment, Rudolph, is a NEW Couture Creations die from the Magical Christmas Collection and is also cut from white cardstock. A red bow with a mini bell attached adorns the reindeer along with Crystal Self-Adhesive Gemstones on his antlers.  I love the contrast of the white and turquoise background with the white reindeer and pop of red.

The intricate impression from the embossing folder is really enhanced by the foil paper.

Kromekote Christmas Card with Gloria

Hi! Gloria here with you today. WorldWin Papers has come out with a new line of cardstock called Kromekote. This cardstock collection contains foil, glossy, and glossy textured cardstock papers. The cardstock is a heavy weight, perfect for embossing and die-cutting. I know it may be early for Christmas, but I need to get a head start on my cards. Plus, look at this shimmery foil cardstock! It is perfect for the holidays!

I used the Kromekote Silver Foil cardstock for my card. I embossed the silver foil with the Couture Creations Cardinal's Wreath Embossing Folder, and then I gently rubbed the surface with a Sanding Block.

I used Copic markers to highlight just a few elements of the embossed image. I die-cut a small scrap of the silver foil cardstock with a mini tag die template, and then I stamped the sentiment on it with Staz-On Ink, which dries quickly on the glossy surface.

You can see here the "scratching" of the surface that happened when I gently buffed the raised images with a Sanding Block! It gives the card even more dimension.

Sparkle Card with Vicki Robertson

Hi! Vicki Robertson here with you today. I am gearing up for the Christmas holidays with my new embossing folders and die-cuts.  This clean and simple card is embellished with the NEW Couture Creations Wild Holly Embossing Folder.  I inked the edges of the embossed layer with Memento Desert Sand Ink and embellished the front with cuts from the Memory Box Snowflake Sprig Die-Cut.

The snowflakes are covered with Ranger Glue N' Seal and Distress Glitter to add the sparkle! Some lovely Seaspray Self-Adhesive Gemstones were the final touch.
