Devonshire Lady and Gentleman Card Set by Dana Tatar

Hi! Dana Tatar here today sharing a set of cards that I created for the Couture Creations Winter CHA Booth today. I used dies from the NEW Glamour Days Collection, as well as some of my favorite Nesting Dies to create this romantic set of cards. This card set is published in Issue 2 of the Couture Creations Creative Inspiration Magazine! This magazine is FREE! Please take a look. I went all out designing these cards! I had a lot of fun embellishing not only the front of each card, but also the inside! The inside of each card is stamped with a sentiment from the A Banner Day Clear Stamp Set from Paper Wings Productions. The sentiments reads:

Life is not measured

by the number of breaths we take

but by the number of

moments that take our

breath away.

How romantic! *Sigh*

I used a two-step process to create the silhouette pendants for this card set.

Part One: Use the Devonshire Lady and Gentleman Die to cut a lady and gentleman silhouette from black cardstock. Attach the lady and gentleman die-cuts to pieces of patterned paper with Double-Sided Tape. Add a small amount of glaze to the top of each die-cut and press a clear pendant over the top of each die-cut. Once the glaze is dry, trim any excess patterned paper from around the pendants and glue a gold rose to the top.

Part Two: Follow the Beaded Cabochon Tutorial by the mega-talented Sandie Edwards. Cut two pieces of light brown cardstock with the smallest Oval Nesting Die. Cut two pieces of white cardstock with the smallest Scallop Oval Nesting Die. Ink the edges of all die-cuts with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. Secure the brown oval die-cuts to the white scallop die-cuts with Double-Sided Tape. Glue the now beaded pendants to each oval mat and secure to the embellished card bases with Foam Mounting Tape. Finish each card by adding a floral cluster under each pendant.

Tri-Fold Christmas Card by Bridget Louw

Hi! Couture Creations designer Bridget Louw here and I am so excited to show you this super easy tri-fold card to make using an assortment of gorgeous Couture Creations products.

Step 1: Place a 6 inch  x 12 inch piece of cardstock horizontally in your scoring tool. Score at 2 inches, 4 inches, 8 inches and 10 inches. The card measures 4 inches x 6 inches when closed.

Step 2: Turn the cardstock a ¼ turn. Along the long edge, measure in 2 inches. Cut a slit with a craft knife between the score marks at 2 inches and 10 inches. Repeat on the other long side.

Step 3: Fold card as pictured.

Step 4: To decorate the card, cut pieces of patterned paper to cover your base pieces.

I used the Oval and Scalloped Oval Nesting Dies and embossed the plain oval with the Sugarplum Ball Embossing Folder from the Wrapped in Joy Collection.

Step Five: Embellish the card as desired.

These cards are lots of fun to make and take almost no time at all. I hope you like my card and will try making it with the amazing product range from Couture Creations.

Christmas Ornament with Dana Tatar

Hi! Dana here today sharing a Christmas ornament that I created with pieces of embossed chipboard. This project started out as a mini album kit. Instead of using the triangular tree portions as pages, I glued them all together to create a fun and colorful ornament for the tree!

I embossed each section of the tree with the Wild Holly Embossing Folder. I painted the front and back of each piece with a light coat of gesso and then a colorful Gelato. I highlighted the embossing with Silver Inka-Gold. I dipped the edges of each colorful tree segment in white acrylic paint for a frosty feel. Once the paint was dry, I glued the sections together to form the tree. No Christmas tree is complete without bling, so I embellished the tree with Moonlight Self-Adhesive Pearls and Silver Glitzin' Glamour Glitter Glue.

I created a photo frame for the back of the ornament with the Scalloped Oval and Oval Nesting Dies.

I finished embellishing the back of the ornament with a stamped sentiment and Moonlight Self-Adhesive Pearls.

Gratitude Card with Dana Tatar

Hi! Dana here today sharing a card that I created with the gorgeous Couture Creations Endless Embossing Folder today. I have many things to be thankful for and this card will be going to someone special! I embossed a piece of metal for the background of my card and then added color with alcohol inks for a fun and festive finish.

Follow these steps to create a similar card:

Step One: Emboss a piece of aluminum with the Endless Embossing Folder.

Step Two: Color the embossed metal with alcohol inks. I used Tim Holtz Butterscotch, Red Pepper and Terra Cotta Alcohol Inks along with some Gold Mixatives for a bit of shine.

Step Three: Wrap a piece of ribbon around the center of the embossed and colored aluminum piece and mount onto a cardstock card base using Foam Mounting Tape.

Step Four: Cut a piece of white cardstock with a Scalloped Oval Nesting Die. Ink the edges. Stick the oval over the center of the ribbon with Double-Sided Tape.

Step Five: Attach a chipboard sentiment to the center of the Scalloped Oval die-cut with Foam Mounting Tape.

Dark Night Card with Dana

Hi! Dana here today sharing a Halloween card today. I embossed a piece of patterned paper with the Large Vintage Girl Embossing Folder and then highlighted the embossing with Black Soot Distress Ink. I love how the design form the Large Vintage Girl Embossing Folder frames the card edge.

I created a frame for the owl using the Oval and Scalloped Oval Nesting Dies. I attached all the elements to this card with Foam Mounting Tape for a fun 3D effect!

Song of the Sea Card with Dana

Hi! Dana here today sharing a card that features a piece of embossed aluminum today. I feel at home when I'm on the beach, and that was my inspiration for my project. I embossed a piece of aluminum with the Couture Creations Cheerful Embossing Folder, from the Elegance Collection, and added color with Lindy's Stamp Gang Madonna Robe Blue Gold Two-Toned Embossing Powder.

Step One: Add watermark ink directly to the inside of the Cheerful Embossing Folder, slip the piece of aluminum inside the folder and run the folder through an embossing machine. Remove the aluminum from the folder, sprinkle with embossing powder and heat to set. Note: If you are using an aluminum sheet, the metal will become very hot upon heating, so please be careful! Depending on which side of the embossing folder carried the watermark ink, either the embossed or debossed area will be colored.

Here is what my piece of aluminum looked like after embossing.

Step Two: Stamp a sentiment onto a piece of cardstock. Cut the sentiment from the cardstock with the Couture Creations Scalloped Oval Nesting Die. Apply ink to the sentiment using a Sponge Dauber and the metal die as a guide.

Step Three: Select a piece of patterned paper for the card base and randomly apply circles and stars from the Pink Paislee Luxe Rub-Ons Set.

Step Four: Assemble the base of the card. Add some chipboard pieces from the Pink Paislee Luxe Circles Set across the center of the card.

Step Five: Add an image, the stamped sentiment from Step Two and other embellishments to finish the card.

Textured Patchwork Background with Patti Hamil

Hi! Patti Hamil here today for CSW Distributors sharing a layout featuring a fun textured patchwork background. I created a page of my sweet little cousin smelling a gardenia bloom. I wanted a lot of texture on the page and a bright Spring color palette. The Couture Creations Embossing Folders and Dies helped me to create the look I was after!

I used the Large Damask Flourish Embossing Folder to add a pattern to my photo mats. I used Foam Mounting Tape to attach my photos to my layout to add some dimension to the project. This really pops in person! I attached the ribbon and photo mats using Double-Sided Tape, which is a great adhesive for textured surfaces.

I used white cardstock for the base of my layout. I wanted a quilted look so, I used the Large Damask Flourish and Extra Confetti Embossing Folders, from the Elegance Collection, and embossed a piece of the same white cardstock. I embossed 2 pieces with each folder. I then inked the pieces with pink, green and blue ink and cut them into 2" squares. I then assembled the patterned background, alternating the colors.

I used the Daisy Nesting Dies to make 2 different types of gardenia blooms. I used Glitzin' Glamour in Gold for the flower centers of a couple of blooms and some of the smallest paper blooms for the other flower centers.

I hand cut and inked the little leaves from green cardstock.
 

I used a pink marker to add some faux stitching around the photo mats and journaling spots. The wording are some older rub-ons that I had in my stash.

I added a pink and white scalloped border that I created with 2 sizes of the Scallop Oval Nesting Dies. I placed them beside my tri-colored ribbon. I then added Self Adhesive Pearls, in Pink Blush, to the center of each scallop.

These blooms were really easy to create and turned out pretty good! I'm not great at making my own blooms, but these dies work wonderfully!
